Extended Information Notice on the Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Introduction
This extended information notice is provided by I.M.S. S.p.A., acting as Data Controller, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), Article 122 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 (“Privacy Code”), and the “Guidelines on Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies” adopted by the Italian Data Protection Authority by decision of 10 June 2021.
This notice relates to the website https://imspiping.com/, supplements the Website Privacy Policy, and supersedes and replaces any previous information provided regarding cookies.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text strings that websites visited by the user (“first-party” websites) or different websites or web servers (“third parties”) place and store on the user’s device (computer, tablet, smartphone), to be subsequently retransmitted to the same websites during future visits.
Depending on their duration, cookies may be classified as session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which remain on the device until their predefined expiry date or until they are deleted by the user.
Types of Cookies Used by This Website
3.1 Technical Cookies
These are cookies necessary for the transmission of communications over an electronic communications network, or strictly necessary for the provider to deliver a service expressly requested by the user. The user’s consent is not required for the installation of such cookies pursuant to Article 122 of the Privacy Code. This category includes: the cookie that stores the user’s consent preferences; and the cookie installed by the Google reCAPTCHA service, which is strictly necessary to provide anti-spam protection for the contact and job application forms available on the website and expressly requested by the user.
3.2 Analytics Cookies
The website does not use analytics cookies, whether first-party or third-party.
3.3 Profiling Cookies
The website does not use profiling cookies, namely cookies designed to create user profiles for the purpose of sending advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed during browsing activities.
3.4 Third-Party Content
The website does not incorporate social media plugins, buttons, or content, nor multimedia or mapping content provided by third parties that could result in the installation of cookies.
Google reCAPTCHA
The website pages containing forms use the reCAPTCHA service, provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, in order to protect forms against spam and abusive use. The service installs the _GRECAPTCHA cookie and involves the communication to Google of certain user data, such as the IP address and information relating to the device and browsing activity, necessary to distinguish real users from automated systems.
The service is configured to direct requests through the recaptcha.net domain. As this functionality is strictly necessary for the security and operation of the forms requested by the user, the related cookie is classified as a Technical Cookie. Consent Management
The website uses the CookieYes platform as consent management tool. Upon first access, users are presented with a banner allowing them to view the categories of cookies present on the website and customize their preferences, without any refusal affecting the usability of the website.
Any non-essential cookies are blocked until the user provides consent. At present, the website exclusively uses technical cookies, for which consent is not required.
The choices expressed by the user are recorded and stored by the platform in order to enable the Data Controller to demonstrate compliance with Article 7, para. 1, GDPR.
Users may modify or withdraw their preferences at any time through the dedicated command available on the website.
Managing Cookies Through Browser Settings
Notwithstanding the above, users may manage, disable, or delete cookies by modifying their browser settings. Disabling or deleting technical cookies may result in reduced performance or prevent access to certain website features, including the completion of forms.

Legal Basis for Data Processing
For technical cookies, including the cookie installed through the reCAPTCHA service, processing is based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Article 6, para. 1, letter f) GDPR) in ensuring the security and proper functioning of the website and the services requested by the user, in conjunction with Article 122 of the Privacy Code, which exempts such cookies from the requirement to obtain consent.
Should third-party analytics cookies or profiling cookies be activated in the future, the legal basis for the related processing activities will be the user’s consent pursuant to Article 6, para. 1 letter a) GDPR, freely given and revocable at any time.
Data Recipients
Data are processed by personnel specifically authorised by the Data Controller pursuant to Article 29 GDPR, as well as by service providers appointed as Processors pursuant to Article 28 GDPR, including the provider of the consent management platform and, solely with regard to the reCAPTCHA service, Google. Data may be disclosed to competent authorities in compliance with legal obligations. Under no circumstances are data disclosed to the public.
Transfers of Data to Third Countries
The provider of the consent management platform is established in the United Kingdom, a country covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Article 45 GDPR.
The use of the Google reCAPTCHA service may involve the transfer of data to the United States of America. Such transfers are carried out on the basis of the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 concerning the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC adheres, as well as, where applicable, the Standard Contractual Clauses referred to in Article 46 GDPR.
No further transfers are made to third countries that do not provide the safeguards required under Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR.
Retention Period
Cookies are stored for the periods indicated in the table set out in Section 5. Data relating to users’ expressed preferences are retained for the period necessary to demonstrate the choices made pursuant to Article 7, para. 1 GDPR.
Data Subject Rights
Users may exercise the rights provided for under Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection). Requests may be submitted to the Data Controller using the contact details indicated in Section 8.
Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or to seek judicial remedy before the competent courts.
Amendments to This Notice
This notice may be subject to amendments or updates, including as a consequence of the introduction of new tracking technologies. Users are invited to consult this page periodically.
